Not surprisingly when I am looking for furniture for the new house online, I just happen to stumble onto some baby furniture....

and by 'happened' I mean I am actively searching the net for all things baby.

;)

like I said, just a wee bit crazy!

and I can't help but share a few finds with you all.

I am loving this retro baby furniture, you know me, I always like something different! Holy crap is it ever expensive! Yikes! But if seven or eight of my closest friends want to chip in 100$ each and get me the crib at the top (when the time comes) I certainly will not complain!!

I guess I wanted to make a nice card for my dad huh?? Can you make out the poem?? It says "You like elm, I like pine, there are a bunch of girls waiting for you in line".

My mom saved this card, she must have known I would have been totally embarassed by it some day!

I hope I am redeeming myself with some adult, mature scrapbooking!!

But I discovered my hair has the ability to curl a bit!!

Very sweet considering I am bad need of a new style, so this helps make it a bit better right?

Not to much going on around these parts lately.....I have been sick a bit...went to the doc and have some tests scheduled on the 1st of May. Hopefully we will find out an answer to this ongoing nausea/vomitting thing. And no I am not pregnant!!

That is the first thought on everyone's mind. That time will come, I promise!

In the meantime we have house hunting on our minds. There is literally nothing of interest for sale in the area, so we are starting to think about building. Not something we really wanted to do before, but we are hoping to be in a house by late fall, so that just may be our only option if nothing comes up in the market.

So, we have been spending our time looking at house plans, scouting out some land, and running the numbers over and over!

We will probably head to the bank this week or next just to get pre-approved for a mortgage and stuff like that.

So that is what has been going on with us!

Sorry, but I got smashed in the face with a sledgehammer...

Or at least it felt like it!!

I know I was supposed to be back with an update on our road trip.

I almost made it. I even had half of my post written up, but then I had to go barf.

Seriously, that is what happened.

I got kicked in the face last week with the stomach flu/cold/sinus infection.

Crazy right? Should I be surprised? No, this has been the worst cold/flu season EVER. And I am mighty fed up.

So, I spent Tuesday & Wednesday in bed. And I worked/slept Thurs, Fri & Sat...so here I am.

Feeling better, but no longer motivated to do a sweet write up on our road trip.

So here are the deets!

Two cars....seven people....one MISSION!!

Jamie, Kim, Corey, Mark, Rodney and I hit the road to Halifax last friday where we stayed with Mark's rad gf Jessica!

We ate, shopped, drank, and went to see the awesome band SIGNAL HILL TWICE!!

Going to see Signal Hill was our main reason, all of the other stuff was a nice bonus. I did some good shopping and came home with three new pairs of shoes! Amongst other things. We had a good time!!

I even got to scare the shit out of Kim by almost puking at the toll booth (yes I am 26 years old and I got car sick).
