what I have been up to...

pretty much nothing.

At the moment, I am the most uninteresting person ever!!

I have been sick the past two weekends, which really sucked.

My husband has been holed up in our bedroom for the past two days absolutely DYING from a cold.

I'm sleeping on the couch because I want NONE of what he has got going on in there!

I have been sick enough in the past two months to last me a life time!!

Crazy.

So I have just been doing a lot of work, eating, sleeping, and watching tv.

I rule.

I really want to do productive things like scrapbook, clean my house, finish Jana's felted cuffs, go to the post office, do groceries, etc, etc.

But really people, I've got tv to watch, and sleeping to do. So I have been losing big time in the productivity battle!

Oh woe is me.

And I have to work this weekend also, which stinks.

One exciting thing to look forward to is our upcoming trip to Halifax. A road trip of sorts. A couple of people, a car, a free place to stay, and one of our favorite bands playing two nights in a row! We are so there, and I can't wait.

Went to a good old Smelt Fry on the weekend, the 5th annual Smelt Fry actually. The host, Mike, was happy to start off the evening with a song.

Sleep: Good or Evil??

Sometimes I wonder!

I'm a big fan of sleep. Oh yeah, when it's good...it's SO GOOD.

But sometimes, it's oh so bad.

Those of you who know me well know that I am usually not a good sleeper. Especially during the week. At night my mind just races and wanders and goes and goes.

I am a major night owl, going to be anywhere from 1am to 3am is good for me. I love staying up late.

Trouble is, during the week, I have to get up at 6am, so staying up late isn't an option.

Hence, why sleep is evil sometimes. I just can't seem to fall asleep!!

Remember Chandra? When we were roomies in University?? I was so jealous how two seconds after she layed her head on her pillow she was sleeping peacefully.

I laid in my bed, earplugs in, with sleeping pills, and I was still wide eyed. Man, I do not miss those nights.

Back to present day sleeping woes. Had the hardest time falling asleep the other night. Finally, around 1am I fell asleep. Only to wake up at 2am, and I stayed up until 3:30. Once I was awake, I just couldn't get back to sleep. I eventually wandered out into the living room and passed out on the couch until 5am.

Last night, I fell asleep quick. I mean in 15 minutes quick.

Sounds good right?

Not really.

Woke up at 3am when Jamie got home from work (yes he worked 19 hours straight). Then awoke again at 5, when the power went out. Then back up again at 6, when the alarm clock rang.

What did I do then?

Fell back asleep.

Yep, I overslept, and almost missed my ride to work.

Sleep: Good or Evil??

I still don't know.

Okay, I know it's only tomorrow, but I couldn't wait to share my yummy whoopie pies that I made today!! With pink frosting and everything.

I started watching it two days ago and have been only catching it at night. I saw no action Sunday night, but last night there was a crazy rain storm and today there are lots of animals on there!!

Clearly not enough

This is the best chocolate bar EVER!!

I was told they were good.

I was told I should buy more....

and I really should have listened.

I just ate the last of my Simply Delicious chocolate bar and I am quite sad.

I NEED MORE OF THESE!!

What is not to love? Canadian made, delicious milk chocolate, caramel, and almonds.

If a child comes to your door selling these little pieces of heaven, please BUY THE WHOLE BOX and send me 1 or 3....

But, I can't help myself. In June or July we will be heading to the bank to get pre-approved for a mortgage, so we can get out there house shopping!! So exciting. We are hoping to be home owners by the fall.

So you know what that means......looking online for ideas on appliances and furniture.

Having been renters for 6 years we are going to be needing all new appliances when we get a house. I just spent some time on sears.ca looking at all of the options, and here are my favorites!

We will most likely be buying Kenmore or GE appliances.

Kinda pisses me off...

but I will still go see it in Theatre....


I recently saw at Walmart how Thomas Harris has a new book out called Hanibal Rising. I was excited about that because I have his three other books on Hanibal Lector.
